OUR SOLOIST
The Washington Post has described her playing as "a near-miracle." Cellist INBAL SEGEV grew up in Israel and, with the recommendation of Isaac Stern, came to study in the United States at the age of 16. She holds degrees from the Juilliard School and Yale University. Ms. Segev's career has taken her to four continents. She has appeared with such prestigious orchestras as the Berlin Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, Orchestre National de Lyon and the Polish National Radio Symphony. Among her several recordings include the soundtrack to "Bee Season" starring Richard Gere. Ms. Segev has given several premieres of new cello concertos and also gave the American premiere of Sir Arthur Sullivan's Cello Concerto. She can also be heard at the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Music Society in recital the day after our concert, April 11.
